Chalice Bearer – Chalice Bearers assist the Celebrant or Deacon
during the worship service. The main
roles performed are to read the New Testament lesson and to present the Chalice
to the communicants. Chalice Bearers
should be completely familiar with the liturgy, as they may be needed to assist
as an acolyte or guide acolytes during the service.
Acolytes – Young girls and boys are eligible to become acolytes when
they reach the age of 8 and will be trained as Torch Bearers. When they reach 12 they become eligible to be
trained as crucifers. Training is
arranged as needed.
