PARISH NURSING--

EXTENDING THE HEALING HANDS OF OUR LORD

Parish nursing is the practice of nursing within a congregation. Its goals are to maintain health and prevent disease within a faith community.

The Parish Nursing Program at All Saints' is coordinated by Judy Riemer, RN. Other parish nursing volunteers include:

Kathy Woodbury, RN
Shari Wolf, RN

We welcome all nurses, other health professionals and interested laymen to join us in our health ministry! Want more information? Please contact the church office or talk to any of the parish nurses.

Second Sunday Blood Pressure Screenings and "Ask a Nurse a Question" Days
On the second Sunday of each month, volunteer parish nurses are available in Smith Hall after all services to take blood pressures or to just answer health-related questions. Come by and see us!

CPR class on Sunday, August 1st!

   ALL SAINTS CPR CLASS

Sunday, August 1ST at 2:00pm in the Parish Library

ALL ARE INVITED TO ATTEND!

Please join us at our All Saints’ CPR class on August 1st!   The class will be taught by Mark Goodwin of 7G Safety Inc. and will last 3-4 hours.  There will be instruction and practice in giving CPR to adults, children and infants AND how to use our brand new AED!  Each participant will receive a book and CD reviewing the basic steps of CPR, as well as a 2 year CPR certificate (American Heart Association-approved).  The cost of the class is $35.00.

Plan to attend? Super!  Here’s what you need to do:

1.  Please sign up on the sheet on the parish nursing bulletin board in Smith Hall by July 28 OR return the form below to one of the parish nurses (Judy Riemer, Shari Wolf, or Kathy Woodbury).   We need to give our instructor an approximate count of how many students to plan for, so that he can bring enough supplies.  (Please let Judy know if your plans change as we get closer to the date at judyriemer77@earthlink.net or (951) 682-0477)

2.  Plan on paying your $35.00 fee on August 1st directly to the instructor. You can pay by cash or check payable to 7G Safety Inc.

3.  Dress comfortably as we will be practicing CPR on manikins (dummies). For those who have trouble kneeling, you may practice with a manikin on a table, so please don’t let creaky knees stop you from attending!

Yes!  I plan on attending All Saints’ CPR class on August 1st at 2:00pm!
