REV. CONRAD NORDQUIST
The Rev Conrad Nordquist, affectionately known as ‘Father Con,’ has been on staff at All Saints’ from the start of the Twenty-first Century. After retiring as rector of St. John the Divine Parish in Costa Mesa he moved to Riverside County, working as a psychotherapist while assisting at All Saints’. Too old to race sailboats or ride motorcycles or compete in aerobatics any more, he now wastes his time building and flying experimental airplanes. Visit him at Hangar 12 at Flabob Airport. Fr. Con has three adult children who live in the Bay and River area of California. You can tell by his accent that he is a native of Minnesota. He attended Seabury-Western Theological Seminary and has an MA (ABD) from USC. He was ordained a priest in 1959.
A PICTURE OF FR. BEN IS PENDING
REV. BEN OROZCO
Although “retired,” Fr. Ben Orozco adheres to the Biblical dictum that says “you are a priest forever.” He and his wife, Irene, live in our parish, but Fr. Ben supplies occasionally in parishes in the LA and San Diego Dioceses, using his Spanish-speaking skill. His last parish full time ministry was at St. Andrew’s in Lake Elsinore, CA.
Fr. Ben was raised in Southern California. He joined the US Navy at the age of 17, where he spent 3.5 years. Fr. Ben graduated from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific and was ordained priest in 1963 in San Antonio. TX. He was an elementary school teacher for 24 years. Fr. Ben loves reading, travel, and jigsaw puzzles. He and Irene have been married for 51 years and have 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
REV. J.O. "PETE" WRIGHT and Penny Wright
It is great to return to All Saints. I served here 3 years ago, when Fr. John was on sabbatical. Mainly, my work as a priest involves supplying in parishes that are in need for any number of reasons. I also serve every year in the Diocese in Europe for the Anglican Church (Church of England) and the Diocese of Hawaii. My wife, Penny and I have lived in Redlands for 34 years. We have 5 adult children and 10 grandchildren.
I was ordained in the Roman Catholic Church in 1970 and spent 13 years in the Franciscan Order. I eventually left the active ministry of the Roman Catholic Church and joined the Episcopal Church in 1983. I was a “worker priest” (Bank of America for 37 years, from which I retired in 2009).
In my spare time, I am on the board and treasurer of the Redlands Charitable Resources Coalition, Inc. (RCRC), which serves the needs of the poor and homeless in Redlands. We provide a Website (rcrchelp.com) and a guidebook; both list all the services available in Redlands for such folks. I am also responsible for the winter cold weather homeless shelter program sponsored by the RCRC.
I’m available 24/7 for any emergency need that may happen in the parish.
